Yards are the best working environment we get, but they come with their own considerations. Gravel and broken asphalt underfoot means we need a level patch rather than wherever the truck happened to stop, since setting bonded glass on a vehicle sitting at an angle is asking for trouble. Loaders and forklifts moving around us are a genuine hazard, so we would rather have a corner of the yard for an hour than work in the middle of the traffic pattern. And the dust that comes off a gravel surface is the enemy of a clean urethane bond, so on a windy day we will position the vehicle to keep the working side out of it.
