Fordham Road itself is the reason we push van owners toward the shop rather than a curbside visit. A windshield needs the vehicle stationary for the fitting and then for the cure, and there is nowhere on that corridor where a van can legally stand for two hours. The bus lanes and the loading restrictions make it worse, not better. So for a van we usually suggest one of two things: bring it down to Garrison Avenue where there is real curb space, or let us come out early in the morning before the corridor fills up and the enforcement starts. Side streets a block or two off Fordham Road work fine for a mobile visit. The main avenue does not, and it is better to say that up front than to send a technician into an impossible situation.
