The Bruckner service roads do most of the damage in this neighborhood. Trucks come off the expressway at speed, the right lane is broken up where the drainage sits, and anything loose gets flung at the windshield behind. Add the salt and grit spread through winter and you get a season of small chips that nobody notices until the first hard frost drives them into cracks. Ten minutes without traffic, a bit longer if you hit the morning market run. Coming from Clason Point, run north on Soundview Avenue first and join the boulevard from there.
